Our Model
partner
We start by identifying schools to walk alongside.
Collaborate
From there, we have honest conversations.
How can we best serve you?
Train
Finally, we begin to equip and walk alongside each school with what they identified as key needs.

Throughout this process, we provide resources to help our partners reach their goals.
Partner
Our first step in the process is identifying schools to partner with in Haiti. We look for schools and communities with the highest needs, but are actively pursuing growth on their own. Our desire is to walk alongside schools and teachers who have a strong desire for the growth and equipment of their students and communities.

We have previously worked with two strategic schools in Ganthier and Canaan. Now, we are walking alongside a school in Chadirac and have identified a second school in St. Marc. Both of these schools are run by motivated Christian men in their respective communities. Their teachers demonstrate a heart for education and work each day with a passion and vigor that would rival many educators in our own communities.
Collaborate
Our second step in the process is to sit with our partner schools and ask, "what do you need?" We found out this is not a common question for these communities. They expressed that more often than not, resources are given that do not help the community. We allow our schools to vocalize their needs, dream for the future, and plan their goals for the school.

Our current partner school in Chadirac has identified professional development, adult education classes, medical education classes, and school growth through the addition of an 8th grade class as their goals.
In St. Marc, we are just beginning our partnership and therefore will be working with the school to set up a leadership team to develop goals and strategies.
Train
Once the schools have established key goals, we begin with training. We bring in educators from the United States to collaborate with and train the teachers in Haiti. Training varies on the skill sets of our teams. We want to allow educators from the United States to share what they feel they are their best assets. However, we also help the trainers to understand the limitations of available resources in their respective countries. These methods allow the trainings to have more emphasis on collaboration between teachers fusing cultures and teaching methods.

Although our goal in training is to help the teachers utilize the resources that are readily available to them, we recognize that there are basic needs in every school in order to be successful. We work through strategic partnerships to collect resources for our schools. We seek to equip each classroom with basic schools supplies, books, and educational equipment to help our teachers thrive.

We also recognize the importance of teacher retention in schools. Teachers who are well trained and have a passion for education are the life source of a school. Providing a steady source of income helps to provide ease of mind for our teachers. They are able to come to school each day eager to equip the students in their own classrooms with the security of provision for their families.
